Applications are invited for a temporary post of a Lecturer/Assistant Professor in Educational Psychology within UCD School of Education.
The appointee will be required to work collaboratively and engage in the design and delivery of innovative teaching, research, professional placement supervision and coordination, research supervision and programme administration on the Professional Doctorate in Educational Psychology programme and other postgraduate programmes within the School of Education.
The Professional Doctorate in Educational Psychology is a 3-year programme with approximately 50 students, which prepares participants to work as Educational Psychologists in a range of settings, including with the National Educational Psychology Service (NEPS), with the HSE, with the Educational Training Board (ETB), with paediatric hospital teams and in private practice. Participants are required to complete academic modules and a doctoral research project, alongside a minimum of 300 days in-service professional training on placement, in a range of services, over the 3 years. The appointee will be expected to contribute to coordinating, scheduling and delivering these aspects of the programme, monitoring individuals’ progress and maintaining evidence-based and professional standards (in line with PSI and CORU guidelines).
