Our Projects & Estates Development (PED) team plays a pivotal role in shaping that future, delivering a wide range of major capital, refurbishment and campus-wide improvement projects across our estate. We’re now seeking a talented and proactive Programme Controls & Reporting Manager to help us continue raising the bar.

About the Job
Reporting to the Director of Projects & Estates Development, you will lead the programme controls, reporting, governance, and performance insight functions across our portfolio. You’ll take ownership of processes, data, systems and dashboards that drive operational excellence, ensure informed decision-making, and support the delivery of a complex programme of capital works.
You will work collaboratively with project managers, business partners, senior stakeholders, consultants, and delivery partners, championing data-driven behaviors, portfolio visibility, and consistent controls. You’ll also line-manage a Data Officer and help shape a growing function within the team.
What You will Lead On
• Developing, managing and continuously improving PED governance, reporting and controls frameworks
• Producing portfolio, programme and project dashboards, reports and performance insights
• Monitoring delivery progress, risks, dependencies and KPIs, ensuring stakeholders have the right information at the right time
• Supporting strategic planning, board reporting and business case development
• Driving best practice in data quality, analytics, visualisation and reporting tools (e.g. Excel, Power BI, MS Project)
• Building strong relationships across Estates, Finance, Procurement, IT, Sustainability and external partners
About You
• Experience in programme or project controls and reporting within a complex organisation
• Strong analytical and digital skills turning data into meaningful insight
• Understanding of portfolio governance, risk, scheduling, and change control
• Confidence engaging senior stakeholders and influencing ways of working
• Excellent communication skills, written, verbal and visual
• A proactive, organised, curious and solutions-focused mindset
A degree in Construction, Project Management or a related field, plus experience or qualifications in recognised project/programme methodologies (e.g. MSP, PRINCE2, Agile) would be advantageous.
