About the Role
Business Analysts will work within a complex and rapidly changing environment to deliver IT projects across Queen Mary University and will make a major contribution to the successful delivery of the Queen Mary strategic plan. They will execute business and systems architecture analysis activities throughout the life cycle of IT projects i.e., feasibility, analyses, functional and non-functional, requirements gathering, scoping, procurement, transition, post-go-live, solution and supplier evaluation, implementation and post-implementation reviews. Business Analyst considers how a wide range of work tasks and processes across and within departments could be changed to achieve a more efficient service. Analyses existing processes, the technical landscape and any human factors in order to achieve an optimal solution for users.
About You
This is a challenging and important position for a highly organized, logical, self-starter, with excellent communications skills, and attention to detail, who has excellent planning, communication, negotiation and influencing skills. You will assist the organisation through the process of change by using a structured business analysis approach/framework. To do this, you must understand not only analysis methodologies, but also the business. This includes understanding Queen Mary’s business goals, corporate values, and corporate culture. Alongside that, the BA must display a knowledge of current and emergent technologies and have the technical expertise to apply those to business needs.
