The University of Reading’s world-leading research in Agriculture, Food & Health addresses global challenges including cross-disciplinary research to enhance well-being, prevent disease, improve diagnoses, develop new therapies and advance clinical practice. The strategic partnership between the University of Reading (UoR) and the Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust (RBFT) aims to transform the health and care of the people of Berkshire and beyond by bridging university and healthcare environment collaborations between the two organisations. Working primarily with the Agriculture, Food & Health theme and with the RBFT, you will contribute to the growth of clinical research across the partnership, and other external collaborators, including the development of collaborative pre-clinical, clinical and patient-centred projects resulting in high-quality external research proposals and the generation of research income.

The role holder will join a wider team of Research Development Managers supporting the Agriculture, Food & Health research theme, alongside managers from other research themes, on the University’s beautiful green Whiteknights campus which has won 15 consecutive Green Flag award. The RBFT London Road site, at which the role holder is also expected to spend time, is within a short distance from the main campus, easily accessible by walking and public transport. The University provides a generous annual leave package of 26 days plus an additional 8 closure days which include bank holidays, and operates a flexible working policy.
