We are seeking to appoint to the role of Senior Governance Officer at the University.
Working directly to the University Secretary, you will lead on the provision of effective and efficient governance and regulatory compliance services across corporate, academic and executive structures. Effective governance is the cornerstone of reputation management, and you will lead on the processes for ensuring effective oversight of matters pertaining to the most senior of University committees and boards. You will provide authoritative advice and guidance across a range of legal and regulatory matters which fall within the purview of the University Secretary’s Office.
You will join a small, dedicated and professional team spanning University governance and committee servicing, legal and regulatory compliance, the Legal Office and the Office for Health and Safety, with the candidate focussing on the provision of corporate governance and compliance.
Educated to degree level, you will have substantial experience of working in a governance role within a regulated environment at a senior level. This includes the provision of authoritative advice and guidance on relevant processes and procedures and drafting policies and managing processes.
We offer an excellent employment package including hybrid working, blending a mix of remote and on-campus working (dependent on work duties).
