The University of Cambridge is seeking an exceptional individual to lead its Accessibility and Disability Resource Centre (ADRC).
The Head of the ADRC will oversee specialist advisory and operational teams, ensuring the delivery of high-quality information, advice and support for disabled students across the University and Colleges.
The role provides strategic leadership in disability support, safeguarding, policy development and service innovation, working closely with senior academic and professional services colleagues to help the University and the colleges meet their obligations under the Equality Act (2010).
This senior position requires a leader with significant experience in complex case management, service oversight and staff leadership, alongside a strong understanding of inclusive practice within a higher education setting.
The post holder will manage substantial financial responsibilities, including budgets in excess of £1.2 million, key student funding schemes and donor-supported awards.
They will also represent the University externally in national and international forums, contribute to sector-leading policy development, and play a central role in training and development for staff supporting disabled students.
Candidates will combine strategic vision with operational excellence, demonstrate sound judgement in high-risk situations, and possess the communication skills needed to work effectively with students, staff, colleges, external bodies and senior University and college committees.
