About the School / Service  - Strategic Development and Delivery

The Strategic Development & Delivery team works in partnership with stakeholders across the institution, combining our specialist expertise, sector knowledge and institutional awareness to support the delivery of our vision to 2028 and beyond.  

This is a new Directorate for UEL and comprises of four main portfolios: Insights & Decision Support, Strategy & Performance, Portfolio & Benefits, and Change & Improvement.  

These four service areas will facilitate effective decision making, improve our staff and student experience, and deliver lasting positive change. 

About the Job 

You will develop and lead a team of Change Managers, alongside embedding a comprehensive change management framework and toolkit and helping the university grow its change capability at all levels. You will work collaboratively with colleagues and stakeholders to develop the change management maturity and approach for the university, ensuring leaders, managers and staff are equipped to lead, deliver and embed our transformation initiatives and vision. At UEL, we are committed to helping you achieve your ambitious goals. Using our Prosci site licence, we have access to a range of resources to support progressing UEL’s change maturity. You’ll develop a community of change agents that help support and embed change to the benefit of the whole UEL community – these are just some facets of this rare opportunity. 

About You 

You will be a resilient and adaptable professional with a proven track record of delivering process improvement activity within a service organisation, using data and evidence to identify root causes and drive meaningful solutions. Your communication skills will be exceptional, enabling you to influence, persuade, and build strong relationships at all levels, even when working outside your direct sphere of responsibility. 

You will be confident in developing and delivering process improvement coaching and support to colleagues and senior leaders, and skilled in using process mapping and online collaboration tools. Your education will include an undergraduate degree (or equivalent) and a LEAN/Six Sigma qualification (or equivalent).
