We wish to appoint an exceptional Research Fellow in evidence synthesis to join the Evidence Synthesis and Generation research theme of the NIHR Applied Research Collaboration for Greater Manchester (NIHR ARC-GM) based at the University of Manchester. NIHR ARC-GM aims to undertake timely, needs-driven, transformative applied health and social care research to benefit communities locally and nationally.
The postholder will have the skills and experience to take a leading role in the production of high priority reviews of local, regional and national importance. This will include day-to-day responsibility for overseeing the generation of rapid evidence synthesis as part of a process we have developed. The postholder will work with partners to develop protocols and to deliver a range of evidence synthesis approaches from rapid and scoping reviews to systematic reviews. The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator and be able to share findings effectively with a range of partners including academics, public and private sector partners, members of the public and policy makers.
The postholder will work with Professor Jo Dumville and Dr. Lucy O’Malley and other members of the NIHR ARC team and will be based in the Division of Nursing, Midwifery and Social Work in the Faculty of Biology, Medicine and Health.
