The Role
We are seeking an Hourly Paid Tutor with expertise in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Design, Robotics, or related fields, and hands-on experience with industry-standard tools. You will support learning in areas such as mechatronic systems control, embedded systems, smart manufacturing, CNC programming, renewable technologies, and FEA/CAE using CAD software.
You’ll join our established academic team delivering undergraduate programmes at CU London. Responsibilities include teaching, curriculum development, assessment, and maintaining course materials on the virtual learning environment. You’ll engage students through innovative teaching, provide academic guidance, and contribute to continuous improvement of the curriculum.
Applicants should demonstrate good practice in teaching and assessment, hold or work towards membership of a relevant professional body, and stay current with industry developments.
Qualifications Required
Applicants will hold a Master’s degree in an appropriate subject OR (if from a professional practice background) a good Honours Degree and appropriate professional qualification and/or membership.

Our Successful Candidate
You will have experience teaching at Further or Higher Education level and the ability to deliver across a broad programme area, with advanced subject knowledge for specialist topics. A passion for your subject and motivation to support student learning are essential.
As a global education provider, you must understand diverse learner needs and communicate effectively across cultures, using student-centred approaches. Experience creating online learning materials and supporting active learning is required.
You’ll work collaboratively and independently, showing flexibility, innovation, and commitment to enhancing the student experience through engaging, high-quality teaching.
