We are seeking a proactive and skilled Communications Coordinator who is passionate about sharing the positive impact that sport and physical activity can have on mental and physical health, skill development, social networks, and our sense of belonging. The role holder will focus on storytelling, celebrating our programmes, new initiatives, facilities, partnerships and successes.
The post holder will work with the Senior Management Team to develop and deliver a communications strategy for Sport and Physical Activity using multi-channel approach. Key audiences include students (current and prospective) and their families, staff, alumni, partners, and the community. The role holder will also work in collaboration with the university internal communications teams, the Office of External Affairs and Communications, the Development and Alumni Relations Office, Colleges, and local and regional press.

The role holder will need to work a range of hours to support business needs, which will include some evening and weekend work. They will also need to travel between Sports Service operational sites and attend events both locally and at national venues (Varsity Matches).
