Reporting to the Principal Investigator, Prof Martin Schmalz, the post holder will play a key role in delivering the ERC Consolidator Grant project Diversification: Causes, Consequences, and Welfare Effects (DICACO). The project seeks to advance understanding of diversification, ownership structures, and welfare effects in financial markets.
The post holder will contribute to the project’s research agenda by undertaking theoretical modelling of equilibrium asset pricing models, conducting sophisticated qualitative and quantitative analyses using diverse datasets, drafting research papers for leading academic journals, preparing conference presentations, and developing original research ideas that build on the project’s conceptual framework.
The role will also include providing day-to-day support for the project’s research activities, including supervision and guidance of research assistants.
Working with Prof Schmalz and other leading researchers at the University of Oxford and partner institutions worldwide, the post holder will be part of the Finance, Accounting, Management Science and Economics (FAME) research group at Saïd Business School.
