LSE Library is a National Research Library, supporting the research and teaching of LSE as well as social science research beyond the School. The Library is heavily involved in delivering LSE’s research strategy, Research for the World, including championing open research practices in the social sciences.

This post is based in Open Research Services and will work across the team to support Open Research and other research support services. The post holder will work across the Open Research Services team to develop and provide administrative support for open research and secure data access via administration support, supporting enquiries services, assisting with the production of training materials and supporting the library’s SafePod service. Additionally, the post holder will support raising the School’s research visibility via LSE Research Online, the School’s research repository.

Candidates should have experience handling enquiries and communicating with researchers, including the ability to convey complex information clearly. Additionally, you will be able to exercise initiative within your own area of work and have an awareness of when to involve colleagues. You will be expected to develop knowledge of open research and secure data and stay up to date with a changing policy landscape.

This position will be subject to a standard Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Any offer of employment made is conditional on receipt of a satisfactory DBS check.

We offer an occupational pension scheme, generous annual leave, hybrid working, and excellent training and development opportunities.
