Annual Leave: 35 days plus standard public holidays and an additional 4 days including the closure of our office between Christmas and New Year

Location: College Lane Campus, Hatfield                                            

Main duties and responsibilities

The appointee will support the delivery of a number of projects with a focus on two separate work streams. 

You will support development and delivery of research databases supporting a number of studies, ranging from clinical surveys to large scale randomised trials. 

In addition, the Orchard OCD Registry seeks to recruit volunteers who are willing to take part in research studies. You will support the recruitment of volunteers to the registry and managing enrolment of research studies, coordinating routine management meetings related to the business of the Registry and writing routine reports. 

Skills and experience required

Experience of working in health or social care research in any environment is essential, and skills in the development and management of research surveys is essential, and databases would be preferable. Understanding the implications of handling and managing sensitive personal data is important, as is experience of working across multidisciplinary teams. Experience of clinical trials would be helpful. 

Alongside good IT skills, knowledge of survey software is essential and working with database platforms desirable. Good statistical skills are desirable, along with knowledge and understanding of research government including GDPR and HRA ethical approvals.

Qualifications required

You will be educated with a Degree (or equivalent level 6 qualification), or higher qualification in a relevant discipline
