We are looking for a Senior Research Software Engineer to join the renowned eScience Lab (esciencelab.org.uk) at the University of Manchester – a team at the forefront of open science, reproducible research, and cutting-edge software infrastructure.
This isn’t just another development role. It’s a chance to shape the future of WorkflowHub (workflowhub.eu), a FAIR-compliant platform that’s transforming how scientific workflows are shared, cited, and reused across disciplines. You’ll grow into a co-leadership position, steering technical direction, engaging with global research communities, and leaving a lasting impact on open science.
This role is an ideal mix of autonomy, the chance to grow and impactful work in a team that is at the forefront of collaborative working. You will be part of a vibrant, diverse and supportive environment.
The eScience Lab is not about short-term projects – it’s about building, maintaining, and growing systems that matter over years. You’ll have the freedom to explore, the responsibility to lead, and the backing of a team that values transparency, sustainability, and innovation.
Please see the Further Particulars to explore what the role entails and what is being sought.
