The role

The Student Ambassador Scheme works across six teams within the University’s Student Journey sub-division. It recruits, trains and provides ongoing support for up to 800 Student Ambassadors. Recruiting and developing an engaged and proactive ambassador cohort is essential to the successful delivery of our events, which includes Open Days, summer schools and graduation ceremonies.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced team working with a range of internal stakeholders as well as supporting our ambassador cohort.

What will you be doing?

The postholder will provide a range of administrative and recruitment support, with key responsibilities including:

  • Complete essential employment administrative functions including DBS checks, payroll and references.
  • Act as the first point of contact to student ambassadors, respond and resolve enquiries in a timely manner, and escalating queries where appropriate.
  • Maintain our digital student ambassador job board (HEAT)
  • Support the design and delivery of recruitment activities including scoring applications and leading selection sessions.

You should apply if

You’re positive and proactive team player. We are looking for someone who can learn quickly, has great attention to detail, with experience in administration and customer service. Interpersonal skills are essential, especially the ability to develop excellent working relationships with both staff and students.
