Warwick Law School seeks to appoint one permanent Assistant Professor from 1st September 2026 to join our vibrant and supportive team.
We would particularly like to hear from applicants who teach in EU Law and/or Trusts Law, but applications are welcome from candidates who teach and research in other areas of law that fit with the Warwick Law School’s curriculum, Law in Context approach, and breadth of activities.
About You
The successful candidate will have experience and expertise to be able to contribute to undergraduate teaching in the areas specified above, and that this can be achieved contextually in relation to current and evolving research. There may also be the opportunity to teach postgraduates.
If the above areas are additional to a candidate’s preferred subject areas, they will be supported in other subjects, and the chosen candidate will be expected to undertake high-quality research and teaching. The successful candidate will also be expected to contribute to student experience and academic governance of the School.
The selection of candidates will be based on candidates’ experience and fit to the criteria detailed in the person specification. Candidates who have not yet completed their PhDs, will only be considered if it’s proven that the degree will be conferred by the start of the appointment on 1st September 2026.
For candidates who are shortlisted, presentations and interviews will be held on Tuesday 24th March 2026.
Terms and Conditions of Employment specify that staff must live within a reasonable travelling distance of their place of work in order to fulfil all of the duties of the role.
