About the Role
Applications are invited for a post-doctoral position in a productive and interactive laboratory, with diverse expertise and access to a wide range of specialised equipment, within the William Harvey Heart Centre, part of the internationally renowned William Harvey Research Institute at Barts & The London Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry, Queen Mary University of London (QMUL). The post is funded by the British Heart Foundation and focuses on identifying novel treatments for aortic aneurysm linked to Marfan syndrome.
About You
This post would be ideally suited to a newly qualified PhD, or post-doctoral fellow with relevant experience. Applicants should have a broad background in ex vivo cardiac and vascular functional pharmacology and expertise in in vivo disease models. An interest in natriuretic peptides/cGMP-driven signalling pathways would be beneficial.

Located at the Charterhouse Square Campus, the Centre for Microvascular Research is an internationally respected hub of inflammation research. It offers newly refurbished laboratories and a cutting-edge microscopy facility, making it ideal for high-impact research. The Charterhouse Square Campus is in the heart of the City of London and is close to the Barbican Art and Music Centre and St Paul’s Cathedral.
