The Academic Registry is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Student Resolution Compliance (Casework) Manager to join the team on a part-time fixed-term maternity cover basis.
Founded in 1791, the RVC is one of the largest and longest-established veterinary schools in the world. The RVC offers outstanding undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in veterinary medicine, veterinary nursing, and biomedical sciences, and carries out world-class veterinary and bioscience research ranging from the molecular level through whole-animal to population-based studies.
About the role
The successful candidate will lead the day-to-day operations of the Student Resolution and Compliance (SRC) team, overseeing two casework administrators, managing caseloads, and ensuring that service standards, quality assurance processes, and regulatory expectations are met. Working closely with the Assistant Registrar for Student Resolution and Compliance and colleagues across Academic Registry, the postholder will ensure all casework is managed fairly, efficiently, and in line with institutional regulations and the requirements of The Office of the Independent Adjudicator for Higher Education (OIAHE).
This role requires expert judgement, strong regulatory understanding, and the ability to communicate complex information with clarity and sensitivity.
About the candidate
The postholder will be a key member of the Student Resolution and Compliance team, bringing a professional, proactive, and solution-focused approach to managing student casework. They will be a confident communicator, able to engage effectively with colleagues at all levels across the RVC, students, and external stakeholders, including The Office of the Independent Adjudicator for Higher Education (OIAHE).
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong knowledge of casework management, alongside a proven ability to build and maintain effective working relationships and show initiative in resolving complex issues. A positive, can-do attitude is essential, together with the confidence to engage with individuals and groups in a clear, professional, and approachable manner.

Although this is a 14-month fixed-term maternity cover appointment at 0.8 FTE (28 hours per week), to work across four days per week. Please be aware that the position could be shorter than advertised as it will depend on the return of the post-holder. The post will be based at Hawkshead Campus with the potential for some home working following successful completion of the probation period. The postholder may be required to travel between campuses as necessary to meet business needs.
