Post Summary:

The Teaching Fellow will play a key role in coordinating and delivering undergraduate and postgraduate teaching material (lectures, laboratory practicals and small group teaching sessions) in the Discipline of Physiology, School of Medicine. The teaching will cover areas such as neurophysiology, neuroscience and neuropharmacology.

Context

The Discipline Physiology within the School of Medicine is committed to advancing high-quality, innovative, and interdisciplinary education in the area of Physiology and associated disciplines. This role supports the delivery of existing undergraduate/postgraduate programmes in Medicine, Physiotherapy, Human Health and Disease, Physiology, Neuroscience, Allied Health Sciences, MSc Neuroscience and MSc in Applied Clinical Neuroscience.

The Teaching Fellow will collaborate closely with the course coordinators and discipline administrator to support the delivery of various elements of both undergraduate and postgraduate students.

Post status: Specific Purpose Contract

This appointment is offered for the specific purpose of providing cover for teaching for a permanent staff member who is fulfilling a College Officer role. This employment is not offered on an indefinite duration basis as the original post holder will return to their role once the period of the College Officer role is completed.

Salary: This appointment will be made on the Teaching Fellow Merged ( €42,500  -  €54,139 per annum) at a point in line with current Government pay policy. monthly/weekly payscales. (tcd.ie)
