Reports to: Head of School
The EY Assistant Professor in Financial Services will advance research, teaching, and policy engagement in the field by catalysing the existing relationships between Trinity Business School and Trinity Law School. This role reflects the shared vision of both Schools and EY to strengthen Trinity’s global reputation in financial services education and research, while equipping students with the transversal skills required for careers in law, business, consultancy, and public policy.
Applications are welcome from legal scholars and business scholars with research excellence in financial services. They will have a compelling research agenda to build on their outputs to date. The postholder will contribute across both Schools, delivering undergraduate and postgraduate modules, supervising students at all levels, and playing a central role in the development of joint initiatives (e.g. MSc in Law & Finance; Joint honours degrees: Law and Business). They will also be expected to contribute to public and industry engagement, consistent with the interdisciplinary nature of the role.
Hours of work: Hours of work for academic staff are governed by the applicable Public Service Agreements.
Salary: Appointment will be made on Assistant Professor Salary Scale (109) commensurate with qualifications / experience and in line with Public Sector Pay Policy [€42,925 - €102,556 per annum].
