About the role
UCL is seeking a creative and data-driven Senior Paid Advertising Marketing Officer to lead student recruitment advertising campaigns that strengthen our global reputation. This is a rare opportunity to join a world-leading university and play a key role in attracting the next generation of students through strategic, insight-led digital marketing.
Working closely with the Marketing Communications Manager, internal teams and external agencies, you’ll plan and deliver high-impact digital campaigns across paid and organic channels. You’ll liaise with media buying and creative agencies, advise faculties on best practice, and contribute directly to the delivery of UCL’s student recruitment strategy.
Creativity and storytelling sit at the heart of the role. You’ll work with students and alumni to produce engaging, authentic content that resonates with diverse audiences, while ensuring campaigns are optimised for performance. Your analytical expertise will be essential as you monitor results, analyse lead data, and produce clear, actionable reporting to support continuous improvement. You’ll collaborate with CRM and Digital teams, using a range of tools to drive insight and influence decision-making.
This is a permanent role, available to start immediately. UCL operates hybrid working, with the role based onsite two days per week at our King’s Cross campus.
About you
You’re a creative, data-driven digital marketer with strong knowledge of UK higher education and student recruitment. You have substantial experience planning, delivering and optimising paid advertising campaigns, particularly when working with media buying agencies. You’re confident applying recruitment strategies across multiple channels and using CRM systems and digital tools to track performance and generate insight.
You bring excellent written communication skills, strong analytical ability, and the interpersonal confidence to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners. You thrive in fast-paced environments, manage multiple projects with ease, and bring initiative, creativity and a solutions-focused mindset. Committed to inclusive practice, you enjoy contributing to a collaborative culture that supports shared institutional goals.
