About the Role
The post holder oversees and manages the administration of the Undergraduate programmes within the Department of Law. The role will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of a responsive and accurate exam process for multiple diverse undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. This will involve overseeing and administering module registration, examinations, timetabling and other quality assurance processes. The role will involve maintaining strong professional relationships with stakeholders including students, staff members (both internal and external), TATFs, External Examiners and professional support staff across various QM departments / Schools; they will be required to always ensure a professional / friendly service. They will work closely with the Education Manager within the School to discuss and agree on strategies relating to education for the programmes, and also to ensure that processes and procedures are in place so that administrative systems run smoothly for teaching activities and assessment. This role will also manage the School Education & Quality Officers.

The Queen Mary School of Law is one of five schools in the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. The School is made up of two organisational units: the Department of Law and the Centre for Commercial Law Studies (CCLS). Established in 1965, the Department of Law has a well-established reputation for innovative research in law, legal practice and theory. Key research areas include jurisprudence, human rights, state crime, law and globalisation, immigration, policing and criminal justice, labour law, environmental law and climate justice, private law, and law and social theory.
