The Role

The role requires experience delivering student recruitment or outreach activity within a further or higher education context, with a focus on engaging young people and enabling informed decision-making about progression to university. The post holder will plan and deliver recruitment activity across the UK to increase applications and enrolments across further education, undergraduate and postgraduate study, using strong communication, organisational and relationship-management skills.

Main responsibilities of the role include:

  • Delivering UK student recruitment strategies and campaigns to meet defined targets
  • Planning and delivering recruitment and outreach activity for young people, including school and college visits, HE fairs, UCAS events and Taster Days
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with schools, colleges, teachers, advisers and other influencers
  • Providing clear, accurate and accessible information, advice and guidance to prospective students, recognising that learners may experience different routes and challenges when considering higher education
  • Using CRM systems and data to monitor activity, assess impact and inform future recruitment activity
  • Working alongside colleagues, academic staff and student ambassadors to drive recruitment, conversion and progression
  • Contributing to access and participation activity aimed at increasing engagement from underrepresented groups

Key Skills include 

  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage a wide range of audiences
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Experience delivering presentations, workshops or events for student audiences
  • Experience coordinating events, including logistics and stakeholder engagement
  • Confidence using data and CRM systems to inform recruitment activity
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • A flexible and proactive approach, including willingness to travel across the UK

The Candidate

The successful candidate will have experience working within a UK further or higher education setting and a working knowledge of student recruitment and admissions processes, including UCAS. They will have experience engaging with young people and be confident representing the University to prospective students, teachers, advisers and partners.

They will be organised, adaptable and comfortable working with data and CRM systems. Experience of delivering events, presentations or outreach activity will be valuable, alongside alignment with Ravensbourne’s values of dynamism, inclusion, professionalism and collaboration.
