About the role

We are seeking an influential and proactive Head of Admissions to provide inspirational leadership and strategic direction for our new integrated Admissions department within Academic Services. You will shape an outstanding applicant admissions journey from first enquiry to enrolment, aligned to our new strategic plan, BU2035.

You will drive innovation and continuous improvement across admissions processes, systems and policies, leading a major technology transformation to embed automation and digital-first solutions. With responsibility for regulatory compliance, you will champion high quality, user-focused services for all applicant groups. Working closely with marketing, recruitment and faculty teams, you will shape admissions strategies, advise senior leaders on policy developments and best practice, and oversee the dynamic delivery of confirmation and clearing operations.

About You: 

You will be an exceptional senior leader with extensive UK higher education admissions experience, a strong understanding of regulatory requirements and sector developments, and a proven record of delivering organisational change and process improvement. You will bring expertise in digital transformation, including the use of AI to enhance service delivery, and demonstrate outstanding interpersonal and influencing skills to build effective, collaborative relationships. With inspirational leadership capabilities, you will motivate and develop large teams to deliver high quality, future-focused services.
