About the role:
The Transformation Team at Imperial exists to ensure successful delivery of strategic programmes which deliver business value enabling Imperial’s Strategy as a world changing global powerhouse. The team is organised across three capability areas of Portfolio and Projects, Service Transformation and Change, and operate a matrix model of working providing resource as determined by the strategic priorities agreed upon by the Operations and Infrastructure Committee. Team members will be expected to work as a blended multi-disciplinary team alongside with colleagues in faculties and professional services.
We are interested in candidates who have previous experience of large-scale service transformation, and higher education experience is desirable. To help deliver the service transformation we need we have created a new role of Business Insights Analyst. You will be a integral member of the Transformation Team working playing a pivotal role within our service transformation programmes to transform how we understand and effectively use data across Imperial.
What we are looking for:
You will support the Service Transformation Team and the wider Transformation Office in a critical role enabling data-driven decision-making within the transformation portfolio and across the wider organisation. The primary purpose of this role is the analysis of complex data sets, generating meaningful insights, and translating these into clear, actionable recommendations to programme/project boards as well as Operations and Infrastructure Committee.
You will work closely with colleagues in the Portfolio team to evidence and drive data driven decisions supporting the delivery of programmes/projects. Additionally, your work will drive prioritisation of the transformation roadmap, through the identification and quantification of improvement opportunities. A key input to your insights development will be benchmarking information readily available through on-going memberships, to bring fresh ideas and methodologies from our sector peers.
This role requires a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to translate data into compelling narratives that influence decision-makers. The post-holder will also contribute to the development and enhancement of reporting tools and frameworks, utilising artificial intelligence and machine learning to maximise the use of data, while ensuring that data is accessible, accurate, and aligned with organisational priorities.
