Do you want to be part of a team that helps unlock opportunities for students and research through philanthropic support? Aston University is seeking a Development Co‑ordinator to support the smooth running of events, campaigns and donor relationships.
Aston University's 2030 Strategy sets out a bold vision to become a leading university of science, technology, and enterprise, with a transformational impact on students, staff, businesses, and communities. The University is committed to transforming lives and widening opportunity, and our Development team plays a key part in enabling this mission.
As Development Co‑ordinator, you will support a busy, collaborative fundraising team that works closely with donors, alumni and colleagues across the University. The role is varied and fast‑paced, involving the smooth delivery of campaigns and events, the preparation of fundraising materials, accurate stewardship of donor records, and timely, thoughtful communication with supporters. You will help shape the experience of our donors and scholarship ambassadors, assist with online and in‑person fundraising activity. This is a role for someone who enjoys being part of a team with purpose and who values the chance to contribute to opportunities that genuinely change student lives.
You will be highly organised, confident managing multiple tasks and comfortable communicating with a wide range of people. Experience in administration or customer‑facing roles is essential, along with strong written and verbal communication skills and good working knowledge of Microsoft Office. You will have an eye for detail, a positive and professional manner, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Familiarity with CRM systems or an interest in higher education is an advantage, and occasional evening or weekend availability for events may be required.
