About the Role
We are recruiting a Postdoctoral Research Associate to join the Particle Physics Research Centre to work on environmental sustainability and related software and computing for the XLZD Dark Matter Experiment. You will work across the XLZD-UK project to help develop our plans and activities for sustainable construction and operation of the experiment. You will develop technical models to allow monitoring, reporting and prediction of relevant sustainability indicators.
About You
You will have a PhD (or close to completion) in a STEM subject and be interested in a career at the interface of research and computing. You will be an inquisitive technical problem solver and a team player with good communication skills. You will be an experienced Linux user, with some programming skills. You will be familiar with working in research/laboratory settings.
