About the role:
We are looking for a Research Associate in Genomic Epidemiology to join the multidisciplinary NIHR HPRU in Respiratory Infections at NHLI, conducting state of the art research to support public health services in partnership with UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA). You will lead the analysis whole genome sequencing (WGS) TB data in the UK as part of the TB Theme.
What you would be doing:
You will lead the analysis of historical TB transmission clusters using genomic signatures of transmission and carry out in-depth bioinformatics analysis including phylogenetic analysis of WGS data.
You will lead on high-quality manuscripts, supervise students and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver novel and impactful research.
What we are looking for:
*Candidates who have not yet been officially awarded their PhD will be appointed as a Research Assistant within the salary range £43,863 - £47,223 per annum
