The Tzima research group investigates the role of mechanotransduction in cardiovascular disease and the laboratory is at the cutting edge of developments in in vitro and in vivo models of mechanotransduction. Research projects are highly interdisciplinary, aiming to integrate in vitro biochemical and cell biological techniques with in vivo models and clinical samples. Recent publications from the group include Nature, Science Advances, J Cell Biology. We are looking for a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Scientist to join the group to work in the area of mechanotransduction, fluidics to characterise the role of a novel gene in atherosclerosis development and progression.
