About the role
As a Lecturer in Computer Science, you will contribute to the delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate teaching. You will support students through lectures, tutorials and project supervision, ensuring
that teaching is informed by up to date scholarship. You will be part of an academic community that prioritises high quality education and the development of innovative approaches to teaching and assessment.
This teaching focused role includes engaging in scholarship to support curriculum development and pedagogical enhancement. You will participate in assessment processes, contribute to quality assurance activities and take part in School and University committees.
About you
You will hold a PhD or equivalent in a discipline related to Computer Science, with expertise in Cyber Security, Software Engineering or Artificial Intelligence. You will have strong communication skills and the ability to teach and supervise students at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. A commitment to professional development, including holding or working towards HEA Fellowship, is essential.
You will bring strong organisational abilities, a collaborative approach and the capacity to contribute to curriculum development and teaching innovation. You will be able to balance the needs of students and colleagues, manage time effectively and work both independently and as part of a team. You will also demonstrate an understanding of higher education practices and a willingness to support a broad range of academic and administrative activities.
