The Sports Service is seeking a creative and motivated Marketing Assistant to assist in the delivery and execution of marketing campaigns that raise the profile of University of Cambridge Sport and deliver its commercial objectives. This role is vital to help implement our Strategy for Sport 2023-2027 for sport, physical activity and wellbeing. The role is suitable for those looking to develop their marketing and business development skills in a dynamic environment.
In this role, you will be responsible for designing, or working with external agencies to create campaign artwork in line with creative briefs and producing high quality copy and content for print, web and social media.
Key responsibilities include engaging and attending annual events i.e. Sports Fair, Sports Awards and a range of University induction events, designing marketing materials for national sporting campaigns, creating high quality video recordings i.e. filming member challenges and workshops with the Fitness Team and editing content to be used across multiple marketing channels.
The idea candidate should hold a marketing qualification or have proven experience in marketing, communications or digital media, have a flair for creativity, a passion for sport, health and fitness and possess a strong knowledge of Adobe Software (or other design packages) with experience in using social media, email marketing software and website content management systems.
