About the role

 An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly organised HR Administrator to join the HR Team at the School of Archaeology. This role offers an excellent development opportunity for an individual with strong organisational and administrative skills who is keen to build their career in Human Resources within the University. As part of our supportive and reliable Professional Services team, you will play a key role in enabling the exceptional research and teaching delivered by our staff. Working closely with the HR Officer, you will support the full range of HR functions for the School, ensuring an efficient, proactive service and helping to promote good practice across all HR activities.

About you

You will have experience in HR administration: excellent interpersonal and organisational skills with the ability to communicate with people at all levels; well-developed IT skills; accuracy and a high level of attention to detail; the ability to manage your own workload and work effectively as part of a team or independently. You will act as a key point of contact on a variety of HR-related matters, providing clear guidance and dependable administrative support.

You will have experience working with HRIS, preferably PeopleXD, and be able to maintain accurate staff records, assist with monthly payroll processes, and support recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding activities. You will also provide wider administrative support to the Head of Administration and Finance, undertaking tasks appropriate to this grade.
