Applications are invited for a Project Manager who will work across different teams with Professor Clare Bankhead, utilising primary care datasets within the Department, particularly the Clinical Practice Research Datalink (CPRD) and the Oxford Clinical Informatics Digital Hub (ORCHID).

The successful applicant will manage the activities of the CPRD and ORCHID-E research teams. They will be a fully embedded member of these two inter-related groups and will work closely with all members. Working autonomously, they will track the current status of all on-going and planned projects within both groups and help guide key decisions regarding work prioritisation and resource allocation. They will get to know our collaborators, and will be responsible for ensuring all parties are in regular communication with each other. The postholder will need to be able to work with multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities will include taking overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of ORCHID–E and CPRD; liaising with, and advising as appropriate, prospective researchers/users of data regarding study design, progress and completion, and providing associated cost estimates and timelines; tracking progress of projects, taking appropriate action to ensure good progress and using initiative to tackle any practical difficulties encountered; managing the programme budget; and overseeing the production/collation of all documentation such as regulatory submission, grant applications and publications.

You will be educated to degree level or with equivalent experience, have experience in project management and working with a cross-functional multi-disciplinary team, be highly organised with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities and timelines, and possess strong problem solving and decision-making skills.

You will be based in the Radcliffe Primary Care Building, Nuffield Department of Primary Care Health Sciences, Radcliffe Primary Care Building, Woodstock Road, Oxford, OX2 6GG as your normal place of work, but you will be able to agree a pattern of regular remote working with your line manager.

The position is offered part-time at 0.5 FTE and is funded for two years in the first instance.
