We are recruiting an IT Technician with experience of working in an IT department. You will need recent experience in delivering a service and evidence of working at a tactical or operational level to deliver a technical solution as well as having the ability to manage and prioritise own tasks to succeed in this role.

NIHR Bioresource IT is a dynamic department implementing significant change across the organisation. This change and increased level of expectations have led to a need to provide more skilled responses to support NIHR Bioresource staff and systems. This role will assist in the delivery of a professional IT service enabling the ongoing delivery of best practice processes going forward.
The post joins an IT service team providing IT support to the BioResource. The post holder will be involved in all aspects of IT. The role will suit a responsible person with experience of working in IT support, looking to progress their skills. The NIHR BioResource is committed to providing training to allow the right candidate to progress.
The role holder takes responsibility for providing first- and second-line support for the IT services of the department, including the problem solving of routine technical issues. The role holder will also support key data flows and processes and assist in the configuration and development of key tools in this process.

The post is available on a fixed-term basis until 31 March 2028 in the first instance. NIHR BioResource is funded by the National Institute for Health & Care Research (NIHR) on a 4-year funding cycle.
Our offices are on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus CB2 0QQ (approximately 2 miles south of the city centre).
