We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated and enthusiastic organic chemist for a Postdoctoral Research Associate post within the research group of Dr Mattia Silvi (Silvi research group website) based in the GSK Carbon Neutral Laboratory for Sustainable Chemistry at the University of Nottingham. This is a highly challenging project in Synthetic Organic Chemistry and requires excellence in contemporary practical skills, demonstrated by your previous publication record.
This is a full time (36.25 hours per week) 12-months fixed post, with possibility of extension, and is part of a UKRI funded research building on previous research from the Silvi research group. The research will focus on the development of novel reactions based on photoredox-radical chemistry. The new radical processes will be applied in target synthesis of active pharmaceutical ingredients and the late-stage functionalisation of complex molecules.
