1 Pusey Lane (Central Oxford); possibility of some remote working
Part-time (0.5 FTE), fixed-term to end January 2027
This is a great opportunity to support a complex project using your expertise in project planning, budget management, research implementation, and communications and events organisation. The MANTRAMS (Mantras in Religion, Media and Society in Global Southern Asia) project is an ERC-funded project jointly hosted by the Universities of Oxford, Vienna, Tübingen and Paris Sciences et Lettres. This high-visibility project, funded to August 2030, is the first-ever Synergy Grant to be hosted in the Humanities Division at Oxford.
The postholder will be responsible for providing project management and support to the Principal Investigator Finnian Moore Gerety and his academic team; management and co-ordination of project communications, conferences and events; and budget development and management, including reporting and compliance matters.
You will be able to demonstrate a strong track record of project management, including high-level event co-ordination and successful prioritisation of a complex workload involving competing deadlines. You’ll have the ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders, with exceptional oral and written English and the skills to develop and manage engaging and impactful websites and social media communications. You will possess sound judgement, composure and the ability to work autonomously and proactively.
This position is a part-time position, based in central Oxford, with working pattern to be negotiated. Pending review during 2026, the post may be extended through the duration of the funding period.
The closing date for applications is 12 noon on March 17, 2026.
