About the role
Based in the Faculty of Arts & Humanities, this post will support the Senior Events & Engagement Officer in managing events and engagement activities (in-person, hybrid and online) and associated space management processes across the faculty. Together with the Senior Officer, the role holder will support all Arts & Humanities departments across the whole spectrum of events and engagement activities, ranging from conferences and seminars to public exhibitions and festivals, those held both virtually and in person. In doing so, the role holder will support and develop a faculty culture that shapes and sustains the public impact of research. They will also be instrumental in supporting and developing the REACH (Research & Engagement in the Arts, Culture & Humanities) Space alongside other faculty spaces, as required.
The role holder will be responsible for coordinating a range of on- and offline engagement activities and events, overseeing all organisational and administrative work. They will provide advice and expertise on events best practice to colleagues, and support the Senior Events & Engagement Officer with administrative and operational tasks. They will be able to manage their own workload and resources and prioritise these to achieve objectives within their own area.
They role holder will also support the Senior Events & Engagement Officer in administration and running of the REACH (Research & Engagement in the Arts, Culture & Humanities) Space and activities taking place there.
This is a full time post and you will be offered an indefinite contract.
This is a hybrid post, with minimum of 2 days on campus.
