The role will be based out our Oxstalls Campus but there will be an expectation to be to work at any University Campus, across Cheltenham and Gloucester. The University does have an agile working policy and there would be an expectation to be on campus at least 3 days a week.

We’re looking for a Web and UX Marketing Support Officer to support the development of the website and maintenance of web content.

You’ll have an innovative approach and be passionate about technology and accessible web design. We’re looking for someone with strong organisational skills, able to manage different priorities and deliver work to a high standard.

About the department 

At UoG, our Marketing and Stakeholder Engagement directorate is the creative force behind how we share our story and build strong connections. We lead on everything from student recruitment campaigns and brand development to alumni relations, market insight, communications, and public affairs. Our work is about more than promotion – it’s about sparking curiosity, inspiring trust, and creating lasting relationships with the people and communities who matter most to the University.

About the role

In this role, you will:

  • You'll manage our inbox, acting as first-line support for the team, troubleshooting, escalating and supporting where needed.
  • You'll work closely with colleagues from across UoG to review and update website content across landing pages, course pages, staff profiles and knowledge base articles in a timely manner.
  • Support the development of the website, working closely with internal colleagues in the Web and UX team, IT colleagues and external web agencies.
  • Capture and edit virtual tours, used to promote our high-tech facilities.
