About the role
The Faculty of Engineering & Design is seeking a dynamic Professor or Associate Professor of Hydrogen Energy to lead research and education in this area.
Hydrogen has been identified as a cornerstone of the UK’s net-zero strategy, with a commitment to deploy up to 10 GW of low-carbon hydrogen production capacity by 2030, at the least half from electrolytic sources. This ambition is supported by major government initiatives, including the Hydrogen Production Business Model (HPBM), the Low-Carbon Hydrogen Standard (LCHS), and the development of hydrogen transport and storage networks.

You will be based in the Hydrogen Hub and one of the four departments within the Faculty of Engineering and Design. Bath offers interdisciplinary coverage across hydrogen storage and production, propulsion, electrochemistry, power systems, renewables, and applications in aviation and automotive systems
