Off Campus Division | University of Greater Manchester
The University of Greater Manchester is committed to delivering high-quality, well-governed higher education across an expanding network of UK and international academic partners. Our Off Campus Division operates in a regulated and fast-evolving environment where academic standards, portfolio currency and regulatory compliance are critical.
We are seeking a forward-thinking Programme Approvals Manager to lead partnership approvals and programme reapprovals, ensuring that our collaborative portfolio remains current, robust and aligned with institutional strategy and the expectations of the Office for Students.
Your Role
You will lead the end-to-end process for programme validation, reapproval and periodic review across all Off Campus partnerships. You will ensure that partners are delivering the most appropriate and up-to-date curriculum, aligned to University academic frameworks, market need and regulatory expectations.
You will act as a central point of coordination for approval events, documentation, committee submissions and stakeholder engagement, ensuring that processes are thorough, timely and well governed.
You will also play a key role in identifying portfolio risk, highlighting programmes requiring review, and ensuring that curriculum developments reflect both strategic priorities and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
About You
You will have experience working within Higher Education, ideally in quality assurance, academic administration or programme management. You will understand how programme approvals support academic standards, regulatory compliance and institutional reputation.
You will be organised, confident managing multiple approval cycles simultaneously, and comfortable working with academic colleagues and external partners. You will bring energy, clarity and forward-thinking ideas to ensure that our collaborative curriculum remains current, high quality and strategically aligned.
Most importantly, you will take ownership of maintaining a strong, compliant and future-ready portfolio across our partnership network.
For an informal discussion about the role, please contact the Head of the Off Campus Division.
