Background
Under the direction of the Senior Admissions Officer, this post-holder will be expected to contribute to the University’s Admissions Service by supporting all aspects of the admiss ions team.
The Admissions Service provides a number of essential services to the University, which are central to supporting recruitment targets and ensuring the admission of high-quality students.
Responsibilities
Working in the University Central Admissions Team you will be supporting the team and be responsible for providing a high level of support for the Admissions Teams, including acting as a first point of contact for enquiries from applicants.
The post holder should be a confident communicator with high quality of customer service skills, be proficient in the use of Microsoft software such as Word and Excel, have attention to detail and a willingness to support a wide range of admissions-related tasks. Support, training and development will be provided where necessary for the postholder to carry out their role and responsibilities.
Person Specification
- Educated to A level or equivalent or equivalent office administration experience.
- Experience of using of IT systems, including the use of MS Office packages.
- Good communication and strong interpersonal skills and an ability to liaise effectively with a wide range of people in a professional and friendly manner.
- A flexible approach to work and an ability to work effectively as part of a team.
