About Role
Join Queen Mary University of London, a world-class institution dedicated to providing global opportunities, as the EAF Data and Analytics Manager. Reporting to the Head of EAF Systems and Support Services, you will provide strategic leadership for data analytics and business intelligence across the Estates and Facilities Directorate. Your primary focus will be leading the data integration and validation for the university’s new IWMS, Planon, transitioning fragmented legacy silos into a unified single source of truth. You will ensure all data assets are secure, accurate, and aligned with university standards while designing a comprehensive suite of Power BI dashboards to provide the Senior Management Team with actionable, evidence-based insights. Additionally, you will oversee the quality assurance of the HESA Estates Management Return and develop sophisticated benchmarking reports to track performance against sector peers.
About You
To be successful, you must be a strategic thinker with significant expertise in business systems, complex data analytics, and data management. You should be educated to degree level in a relevant field or possess equivalent professional experience. We are looking for a candidate with proven experience in data or systems teams, specifically in shaping complex analytics using tools such as SQL or Power BI. You must be able to communicate technical information effectively to gain buy-in from a wide range of stakeholders.
Beyond technical proficiency, you will need strong leadership skills to mentor colleagues and foster a collaborative environment. Experience in establishing data governance frameworks and ensuring GDPR compliance is essential. You should be a proactive problem-solver committed to operational excellence. Most importantly, you must demonstrate a clear commitment to Queen Mary’s values of inclusion, ambition, and ethical integrity, actively promoting an environment where all staff and students can flourish.
