About us
The Faculty of Natural, Mathematical & Engineering Sciences (NMES) is seeking to appoint a Programmes Officer to support the operational delivery and day-to-day coordination of two new interdisciplinary programmes: the BSc Natural Sciences (launched September 2024) and the MSc AI for Science (launching September 2026).
This is an exciting opportunity to take on a new role supporting the development and delivery of a growing portfolio of interdisciplinary programmes. The post forms a key part of King’s Interdisciplinary Science investment, bringing together staff across three faculties to deliver an innovative student experience.
The postholder will work as part of an experienced professional services team, in close partnership with academic colleagues and faculty and central directorates, to deliver a high-quality administrative service and an excellent student and staff experience.
About the role
The Programme Officer will support students and academic staff as the first point of contact for queries, whether face-to-face, via phone or electronic media. The role is responsible for essential work to support the delivery of our programmes and for ensuring that student lifecycle activities run smoothly. With support to develop a working knowledge of regulations the Programme Officer is a valued and trusted member of a hard-working and friendly team and will have a keen eye for accuracy and detail.
Celebrating diversity and supporting staff is important to us and we offer a range of provision, training opportunities and support – please see our Staff Benefits pages.
The role will be based at the Waterloo campus, in the heart of Central London. Professional services staff are currently working on a hybrid basis, meaning the role holders will spend part of their working week on campus and the remainder working remotely.
This is a full-time post (35 Hours per week), and you will be offered an indefinite contract.
