An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Clinical Placements and Professional Practice team as Public Patient Involvement Administrator.
You will work flexibly and proactively to develop and support the implementation of the Public Patient Involvement (PPI) initiatives across the School of Medicine, Pharmacy and Biosciences and the School of Psychology, Health and Clinical Science. The PPI work involves managing a group of simulated patients (SP) who support the examinations and teaching sessions across the healthcare programmes. You will also work with Experts by Experience (EBE), people with lived experience of conditions, who volunteer their time to support the students’ learning. You will work closely with senior managers, academic staff and other members of School administrative teams. You will work across a range of each School’s programmes to develop and implement appropriate systems, processes and procedures to support key areas of work. The role will include working with external stakeholders and members of the public and you will provide efficient, effective and responsive service to these groups.
Educated to A level or equivalent, you will have substantial administrative experience within the higher education or healthcare sector. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for the role, along with the ability to work without close supervision.
This role is campus based, with some flexibility to work from home.
Aston University is located within Birmingham City Centre and has accessible transport links, via bus or train, and a cycle to work scheme.
