As Marketing and Communications Manager in the Department of Sports Development & Recreation (DSDR) you’ll be pivotal to maximising profile, awareness and engagement for sport, fitness and well-being facilities, activities and services at the University of Bath.
It’s a broad but exciting role to help the department unleash the power of sport for all of its stakeholder groups.
It’s never been a more exciting time to join us as we have recently been announced as the Times and Sunday Times Sport University of the Year 2026.
About us
The Department of Sports Development and Recreation seeks to create impact through sport, by maximising its unique environment every day for every customer.
The Department manages and organises a range of activities under the University’s sports brand - Team Bath - and aspires to create a world leading multi-sport environment delivering to elite athletes, staff and students of the University and the local and regional community. Based in the inspiring £35m Sports Training Village, the Department offers a wide range of high quality sports activities, programmes, events, services and facilities catering for all ages and abilities.
In addition, we are recognised by UK Sport as one of only eight Elite Centres, providing the training base for around 250 international level athletes. This is an opportunity to become part of a professional and progressive organisation at the leading edge of sport, health and fitness.
This is an exciting opportunity to promote a variety of strands in a diverse environment targeting multiple audiences and age-groups, including the University’s staff and students, the public, community and elite sports organisations coupled with high profile events. This means you’ll be promoting everything from Olympians and Paralympians across several sports to those taking their first steps in sport.
