This is a full-time, permanent post reporting to the Senior Manager for Academic Affairs. The Academic Affairs Coordinator ensures the efficient delivery of the NYU London academic programme and works closely with faculty and staff to coordinate academic class preparation and administration. The Coordinator oversees the Moses Center academic accommodations across NYUL and the support functions associated with it, as well as taking a lead role in the management of the attendance monitoring function.

Academic Affairs Support (50%)

  • Assist senior academic staff with developing the semester timetable and enter key scheduling information into Albert/CLSS.
  • Coordinate essential academic processes each term, including class schedules, exam timetables, and grade submissions.
  • Manage attendance monitoring across NYU London by tracking documentation, reviewing faculty submissions, and ensuring systems remain accurate and compliant.
  • Support Students of Concern processes through case tracking, preparing materials, liaising with staff, and meeting with students as needed.
  • Oversee core academic resources, including the NYUL library collection and external library memberships, while maintaining contact with Bobst Library and academic partners.
  • Maintain academic records, support syllabus management, update academic information on the NYUL website, and assist with events, room bookings, hybrid teaching support, and broader departmental initiatives.

Class & Faculty Support (25%)

  • Serve as the first point of contact for faculty, offering guidance on academic processes and policies.
  • Coordinate course materials, book orders, coursepacks, and the student book sale.
  • Support faculty in implementing Moses Center accommodations and scheduling make‑up classes.
  • Assist with faculty recruitment, onboarding, and training, particularly around Brightspace and attendance systems.

Student‑Facing Responsibilities (25%)

  • Act as NYU London’s main liaison for the Moses Center, coordinating academic accommodations, extended exam sessions, and invigilation.
  • Advise students on academic policies such as Add/Drop and Pass/Fail, liaising with the Office for Global Programs as required.
  • Support visa‑related data collection during orientation and guide students on UKVI attendance responsibilities.
  • Provide ongoing support for academic enquiries and assist with Orientation, including book sale activities.
