About the Role
To provide professional support for all PGT students in the School of Economics and Finance, and to provide administrative support for the implementation of the School’s PGT student engagement, retention and success strategies.
The post holder is a key member of the School’s PGT Administration Team and acts as Secretary to the School’s PGT Staff/Student Voice Committee, working closely with the PGT Director of Student Experience.
The post-holder will work closely with various academic staff and the Student Union to encourage engagement in student activities and co-ordinate feedback mechanisms to ensure that the student voice is represented appropriately in the school decision making processes. They will play a key role in supporting student engagement with SEF and QMUL events and projects.
About You
You are a dedicated and empathetic professional with a strong commitment to enhancing the student experience. You hold a degree or equivalent qualification and bring a solid understanding of the higher education environment.
Your background includes experience in student services, academic administration, or pastoral support, where you've demonstrated your ability to manage complex queries, support diverse student populations, and navigate university systems with confidence.
About the School/Department/Institute/Project
The School of Economics and Finance is a leader in teaching and research at both the national and international level. It has a range of both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, including programmes that are jointly run with other Schools.
The School has over 1000 undergraduate students, and over 500 postgraduate taught students. It offers excellent facilities and resources to enhance learning, including offering training and access to real time trading software to both UG and PGT students.
