The School of Arts & Creative Technologies is seeking to recruit a Lecturer in Multi-Camera Television for 1 year fixed-term, 1 FTE, to support teaching and learning on our Film and Television programmes.

Role
The main purpose of this role is to support teaching on our undergraduate programme, Film and Television Production as well as the School’s postgraduate Film and Television Production disciplines. This will include delivering lectures, seminars, contributing to marking, supervising students, advising on undergraduate research projects and collaborating with staff to deliver appropriate and engaging teaching material. 

Skills, Experience & Qualifications Needed

  • Postgraduate degree in Film and Television (ideally with an emphasis in film or television production) or equivalent professional industry experience.
  • Experience in teaching and learning in HE at undergraduate and/or postgraduate level.
  • Detailed knowledge in Film and Television with a focus on multi-camera techniques, technologies and production roles sufficient to develop teaching and provide relevant learning support to students across different levels of academic ability.
  • Knowledge and experience of production management and writing for film and Television.
  • Highly developed communication skills.
  • Ability to design and deliver teaching materials across a range of modules.
  • Ability to supervise the work of students, provide advice on study skills and assist with learning problems.
  • Experience of using different delivery techniques to enthuse and engage students.
  • Evidence of successful planning and delivery of teaching material.
