About us
King’s Business School is one of the UK’s leading business schools, located in the heart of London. We are committed to delivering world-class education and research that shapes business practice and policy.
The Faculty incorporates seven departments as well as several vibrant institutes and centres with broad ranging programmes of activity across research, education, impact and engagement, thought leadership and knowledge transfer. Our Executive Education portfolio is central to our mission to empower leaders and organisations through transformative learning.
About the role
Senior Business Operations Officers for our academic departments are the first point of contact for day-to-day department matters. They work closely with our academic community and play an important role in helping to ensure a positive and supportive experience for academic staff.
The role supports one of our seven academic departments through close liaison with the Head of Department, while also working collaboratively with the wider Business Operations team on faculty-wide administrative activities. It provides administrative support for core operational functions including co-ordinating academic recruitment activities, supporting the management of academic workload allocations, monitoring budgets, procurement and other finance activities, advising on and approving purchasing relating to personal research allowances, organising events and seminars, co-ordinating meetings and taking minutes.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrator with strong communication and relationship-building skills who is proactive in problem-solving and committed to continuous improvement and enhancing the staff and student experience. There are clear opportunities for career progression and professional development within the University.
