The Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic Lecturer in Pharmaceutics to join the department of Chemical and Pharmaceutical Sciences. You will contribute to the educational activities including delivery of undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in Pharmaceutical Science. In this role you will plan, develop, and deliver high-quality, inclusive and innovative teaching and assessments in collaboration with academics within the team. You will also be expected to develop, sustain and implement a progressive research plan, which contributes to the evidence-base of research in the subject discipline. The role will require some administrative responsibilities and the supervision of undergraduate and postgraduate research projects.
The Person
You will have a first degree in Pharmaceutical Science or a related degree, with a Formulation/Pharmaceutics focussed PhD. Teaching experience is desirable, but we also would strongly applications from individuals with industry experience, particularly within regulatory affairs.
You will use your teaching, research, industry experience to promote practical knowledge to students that they will take with them in their future studies and career. Constantly seeking to improve, you will scrutinise your own work and work collaboratively to enhance the Faculty and School’s reputation in higher education and occupational circles. Students at Kingston University come from a broad range of backgrounds and educational experiences and the person undertaking this position will play a key role in allowing such students to realise their potential.
We would like the individual to contribute to teaching topic areas in Pharmaceutics, formulation and regulatory affairs. We would welcome passionate educators that can equip students with real-world skills and contribute to Kingston University’s vision to remain firmly at the forefront of embedding future skills in the curriculum to prepare graduates for career success. You will contribute to the personal tutor scheme, offering pastoral support to students and helping them develop their academic and professional skills.
